Haogang ZhuNIHR Post doctoral Research Fellow Haogang was awarded his PhD at City in 2011. The focus of his research is on quantifying structural and functional measurements in glaucoma, with special interest in optical coherence tomography. He was awarded a prestigious NIHR Fellowship in 2011 for a 3-year project examining complex data management, knowledge extraction and computerised clinical decision support for chronic disease management. Richard RussellPost-doctoral Research Fellow Richard has a PhD in Statistics and an MSc in Bioinformatics from Imperial College in London. He is working on a NHS NIHR funded project investigating the frequency of testing when monitoring patients newly diagnosed with glaucoma (See here). His US NIH-funded research fellowship is a joint one between City and Indiana University School of Optometry. The project is entitled Application of Psychophysical Models to Visual Disorders and aims at laying the foundation for novel tests for assessment of visual losses produced by glaucoma.
