We aim to provide students with a broad experience of health care in Tower Hamlets Community of Practice (CoP) applicable to the branch of Nursing or Midwifery being followed. Students will work alongside staff who are highly skilled within these areas.
Our goal is to provide a more patient centre approach to learning and practice. By being based in a CoP, you are able to follow a patient's journey through their health care in various clinical and community settings — such as hospital, out-patients clinics, health centres, care homes and at home. This will not only give you a more rounded learning experience but will also familiarize you with a community while you learn.

Located in the East End of London and neighbouring the City of London, the financial and historical heart of the city, Tower Hamlets is home to a diverse and vibrant community. The Borough has many local amenities and landmarks which include traditional East End pubs and street markets, parks, rivers & canals, the vibrant Bangladeshi community in and around London’s Brick Lane, London's Canary Wharf, with its great shopping, bars, cinemas’ and restaurants, and the ancient and iconic Tower of London.

In 2012 the Olympic & Paralympic Games will be centred in East London in & around Tower Hamlets and the adjoining London Boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Waltham Forest & Greenwich.
