and my own experiences recovering from years of childhood sexual

I
am a mental health nurse from Germany, got a registration as
mental and genaral nurse as well as a degree in nursing. I worked
in different places mostly psychiatric wards (in Germany and
once in Edinburgh).
Currently I hold a post as clinical nursing specialist at a
general hospital with psychiatric unit. There I work partielly
as CPN and partially teaching (in-house-training), facilitating
projects and developing concepts. I did a small qualitative
research project about perceptions of out-patients in mental
heath and their interaction with mental health professionals. |

I
am a Consultant Nurse in Psychological Therapies, having also
trained as a Group Analyst with the Institute of Group Analysis
(Lond.). My particular interest is in psychological interentions
in their widest context, and how every contact between nurse-client
can be used for therapeutic purposes, and therfore benefit the
client. I am also interested in attachment theory, and how the
'attachment styles' of acute inpatient wards may influence the
re-admission rates. |
