We are looking for 20 people who:
- Had a stroke or other brain injury
- Have severe aphasia
- Have a partner (friend or family member) who could take part in the research
- Are English-speakers (but can be bilingual)
- Live within one hour of London
What the project involves:
- 15 hours of therapy working on gesturing and naming (speaking or writing).
- Testing before and after the therapy to see if it’s helped you (approximately 10 hours).
- Some people will also be asked to take part in a second stage of therapy involving a friend/partner or relative (another 15 hours of therapy).
We are also looking for some people with less severe aphasia to try out our tests and therapy materials.
