ABBREVIATIONS 1996-97

Cups

In each pairing the first-named team played the first match at home, unless otherwise indicated. The other team would be at home in the first replay (if any). Second and subsequent replays may be played anywhere.

The following symbols are used in recording results of Cup matches:
a - away; the team drawn at home chose to play the match away instead
n - neutral; the match was played on neutral ground
* - aet; score after extra time
b - abandoned; match unfinished
p - score after penalties
