I
work as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering and
Mathematical Sciences
at City University London, where I teach wireless communications and
computer networks to undergraduate and MSc students. Since 2009, I
also hold a position of Assistant Dean for Electrical and Electronic
Engineering, with a responsibility of managing Undergraduate programmes in
EEE.
My
main research interest is in the operation of multihop wireless networks,
especially in the problem of optimal scheduling in multiservice networks.
I also have interest in vehicular networks, interference management
in OFDMA and bio-inspired networking algorithms.
Research
projects:
Wireless
Networks for Moving Objects, EU COST Action IC90169
(2010-2013)
Interference
Management for Large-scale Relay Wireless Networks, collaboration
with T-Systems (2010-2014) Personalised
mobile authentication to prevent fraud on mobile commerce applications
(2008-2011), UKIERI program, EPSRC Broadband
Internet for Public Transportation, collaboration with University
of Applied Science Giessen-Friedberg, Germany, and T-Systems, project
sponsored by BMBF - German Ministry of Research (2005-2008)
Secure
Communication System for Mobile Commerce, Emerald Fund,
commercialization grant (2006-2008) Traffic
Control in Multihop Wireless Ad Hoc Networks, EPSRC CASE award
for New academics (2003-2006) I
am a member of IEEE and IEEE ComSoc and served as a member of Technical
Program Committee for the following conferences: ICC,
ICT ,
NEW2AN,
WCNC
, Globecom,
MASS,
ICSNC,
Pervasive Health,
and IASTED
conferences. I have been actively involved in the COST
290
action. I review papers for IEEE Communication Surveys, Computer Networks,
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on
Broadcasting, IET Communications, Ad Hoc Networks, and others. I was also
involved in the organization of several ICST conferences, including
EHealth 2008 and Digibiz 2009.
I
was born in what was Yugoslavia in 1973 and completed my education there,
before moving to London in 1998. I have a PhD degree in telecommunications
from Queen Mary, University of
London
(2002) and a Diploma in Electronic Engineering from the University of Belgrade,
Serbia (1998).
