His research interests include Political Economy of Communications, New Communication Technologies (ie digital TV, Internet, convergence etc), Media Ownership and Control, Regulatory Frameworks and the Public Interest. Dr Iosifidis has participated in two EC projects examining the EU Multimedia market and Parental Control Devices respectively. Currently,  he is involved in two research projects, one examining the developments of digital TV in the Member States of the European Union and the other assessing the role of public service broadcasters in the digital era.
