The GSL file contains terms that are to be dealt with in a special way by the indexing process. Each type is defined by a class code.

G	A set of two or more terms to be indexed as a phrase when they occur together (possibly with intervening stop words).	Yes
S	A synonym group	Yes - each member of the group is assigned the same, unique token of the form @nnn

Terms of type "I" will be indexed but may be excluded from inclusion in queries and relevance feedback by the interface software.

The following extract from a GSL file shows the structure of entries, i.e.:

Each term must end in a comma; each line must end in a colon . For GSL class "S" only, each successive term must be preceded by a space.

N.B. At the moment DO NOT include terms that end in an apostrophe as there is a bug that causes a fault in the index.
