(x) Interrelations to other areas

One clearly has the feeling that the above mentioned program produces long lasting results with regard to QFT. This can also be said from algebraic quantum field theory and I think it would be very interesting and important to link up these two areas more solidly. Certainly very promising in general is the link to condensed matter physics, but also the connection to string theory should eventually be made more concrete.
