Constructor Detail

BinarySizeBox

public BinarySizeBox(Frame parentFrame)
Creates the dialogue box that allows user to specify the word length for writing binary files.

Parameters:
parentFrame - Frame that requested this dialogue.

BinarySizeBox

public BinarySizeBox(Frame parentFrame,
                     int fileSize)
Creates the dialogue box that allows number of rows and columns represented by a binary file of given size to be estimated.

Parameters:
parentFrame - Frame that requested this dialogue.
fileSize - Size of binary file (in bytes) from which to guess dimensions. If fileSize is zero, only the word length options are given in the dialogue.
Method Detail

checkInput

public boolean checkInput()
Checks that row and column values are valid.

Overrides:
checkInput in class JWDialogue
Returns:
True if input is valid.

getBytesPerCell

public int getBytesPerCell()
Reports the bytes per cell selected by the user.

Returns:
Bytes per cell (1, 2 or 4).

getNumRows

public int getNumRows()
Reports the number of rows selected by user.

Returns:
Number of rows in raster file.

getNumCols

public int getNumCols()
Reports the number of columns selected by user.

Returns:
Number of columns in raster file.

isIntel

public boolean isIntel()
Reports whether Intel (low byte first) or Motorola (hight byte first) byte ordering has been selected.

Returns:
True if Intel ordering selected, otherwise Motorola ordering.

itemStateChanged

public void itemStateChanged(ItemEvent e)
Responds to a change in the bytes per cell radio buttons by recalculating the possible row/column combinations.

Specified by:
itemStateChanged in interface ItemListener
Parameters:
e - Radio button event.
